There has to be another way?! A question I have asked myself time and time again throughout my life especially recently.
Is being vegan really the best environmental solution even at the detriment of my own health?
Oh ok so that medication will help with that issue but creates another one but thats fine?
Why is it accepted to put girls on the pill and not told the whole story?
Why do we pop a pill as soon as we feel a head ache coming on?
Why does my doctor go straight to writing a prescription?
I’m bloated after every meal but thats normal right?
Whilst western medicine has made incredible strides in our modern day and defiantly has a place in our society. It doesn’t always support us in creating healthy, thriving lifestyles and at times has left me feeling disempowered and unheard.
Seeking a more holistic take on medicine and health that fit in alignment with my values and reconnect to a more natural way of being I went on a journey to where I am today offering you a chance to reconnect and rebalance your body to radiate from within..
Hi, I’m Amy.
My interest and passion for wellness and food as medicine began when I suffered from an eating disorder when I was a teenager, I used food as a method of control, knowing the calories on everything and restricting myself. Now I listen to my body and use food as medicine with the purpose of healing, nourishing and rebalancing my body.
A few year ago when the world paused I too paused and realised just how burnt out I had been for most of my twenties. For 12 weeks I recuperated and reconnected to myself. Previously I worked in the wardrobe departments of Westend shows, if any of you know theatre behind the glitz and glamour is a very demanding masculine energy work-style. Long hours with very little work life balance led to my health suffering without me really noticing as to me my symptoms were just a ‘normal’ part of my day to day.
Food has always been a very important part of my life, even when I was restricting it I always used to understand the importance of nutrition especially being a vegetarian. Food has given me a sense of stability, enjoyment and purpose, when I am nourishing my body I see the nourishment spread through my day to day as well.
I pivoted to align my work with my values and interests in helping people find long term healing and fulfilment in a more holistic and natural way.
My Training
I am certified in holistic facial’s and trained with Relax LDN.
I am a certified holistic health practitioner and trained with Academy of healing nutrition.
I learnt acupressure and TCM facials with John Tindal at the Yuan Clinic and traditional medicine college.
I have a Level 1 tuning fork certification.
I have trained in women’s circles with The Goddess Space.
