My journey here…

I came searching for an energetic and physically fertile life and through that I found a restful one.

Welcome,

I’m Amy. I serve people through my gentle presence, my desire to share the beauty of balance and cyclical wisdom, I offer a space for you to be able to slow down, to feel held and seen. Nurtured through not only my actions but my energy and the space I hold for you.

For many years I didn’t know who I was I spent so much of my 20s trying to be someone society said I should be then spent the last 7 years just learning who I am, who I want to be, what I wish life to look like and arrived here.

First of all I had to work out who I wasn’t, allow what defined me to slip away and with that came a period of lack of self, lack of soul, an unknown. For the past 7 I have been discovering and discovered that it’s not something you do once, a destination you arrive at but a committed journey. It involves walking yourself home and being in communication with soul, having a relationship to body and self - your values and your truth.

Rooted in natures pace and your bodies wisdom, this is a space to return home to yourself. To slow down, to soften, to get curious. Its not about doing more, its about working with everything you already have.

“There are moments in life where we lose ourselves, - when we are overdue for home, our eyes have nothing to sparkle for, our bones are weary, it is as though our nerve sheaths are unwrapped and we can no longer focus on who or what we are about.’ When a woman is too long gone from home, she is less and less able to propel herself forward in life. She’s so cross eyed with tiredness she trudges right on past the place of help and comfort’ the dead litter is comprised of ideas, chores and demands that don’t work, have no life, and bring no life to her. Her fuse burns shorter and shorter. Popular culture calls this burn out but it’s more than that, its hambre del alma, the starving of soul. Then, there is only one recourse, finally the woman knows she has to - not might, maybe, sort of, but must -return to home.”

Maybe its simply not quite recognising the person in front of you, maybe you find ourselves in a season of burn out, you lost your souls calling, drifted off path, no longer understand your bodies calls or even the body you are in.

Sometimes we can walk ourselves home but sometimes we need a cheerleader on this path, someone to walk along side for a while, a gentle presence or someone to offer words we had forgotten. I am lucky enough to of found those people in my journey, I hope to be that for those who are called.

Homebody isn’t a destination, it’s a journey.

A gentle journey honouring time. When we slow down we can start listening, we can get curious, we are seeking the tools that support us not only within the desire we currently meet but also when that desire evolves, expands and changes shape.

In the wellbeing world I see lots of quick fixes, that satisfy out societies fast pace needs. Believe me when I say when I have tried to speed up my healing nothing has sustained. My eyes have been opened to many many things on this journey, many times have I thought I have found the key yet it wasn’t truly until my somatic and nervous system understandings grew and the final piece clicked into place.

Capacity

I have been shown time and time again in different situations if you don’t have this within your life nothing will hold. You can’t heal without the capacity to house your healing. You can’t grow if that capacity isn’t there to support that growth. You can’t sustain if there isn’t the capacity to sustain. I believe many of us move through life without having the capacity to achieve what we are. I believe this is part of the picture of why mental dis-ease is so prevalent, why in fertility is on the rise, why there is so much dis-harmony when women meet pivotal hormonal changes. Our bodies, our minds don't have the capacity to hold what we now are asking them to.

Capacity has many roots, it pulls on many aspects of our life. What it builds though is a foundation in which sustainable growth can be achieved. I’m still working on it
